Uranus, re-energized and moving direct, is an awesome Christmas gift!
These solstice energies are intense. Things are culminating. Blasts of energy are grounding through me. Energy buildups cause physical pain. Pain is a nuance. Mostly, I feel within the magnetics of the energy, its power.
On Christmas Day we have a Full Moon in Cancer. Thirty minutes or so before midnight MST, Uranus goes direct.
In fact all the planets will finally be moving direct. This energy that has been building, needing to be grounded will find the route to be more free flowing. None too soon for my heart.
Uranus direct is concerning on a personal level. Uranus has been playing with my natal Jupiter in Aries since February 2014 and will continue until late 2016. This is all taking place in my tenth house.
Needless to say I am crawling out of my skin, feeling the electrified Uranian energy expand with Jupiter’s influence. I sent in my paperwork to legally start my own business. I’m so excited to do my own thing, how I want!
Uranus, re-energized and moving direct, is an awesome Christmas gift! Not to mention the Full Moon in Cancer.
Feel the power of this energy moving through your own heart, grounding freely. Open. Allow. Enjoy.

Tarot cards and astrology are tools. I use them to gain a better understanding of events in my life and my place in the world. One of my goals with these Self-centered Tarot readings is to show others how to use the tarot to navigate their own lives.
Today was a crisp blue day. The sky was virtually cloudless. The Virgo full moon visible in the afternoon sky. Gratitude and wonder abound at how I’m even here in this skin experiencing such beauty.
Today’s card is The Star from the Wizard’s Tarot by Corrine Kenner, illustrated by John J. Blumen. The card screams astrology. The Egyptian priestess is wearing clothing resembling a star filled night sky. There are astrological tools all around here and a chart she is unrolling in her lap.
Kenner says, “The art of tarot is inextricably linked with the study of the stars. The professor of astrology (The Star) will help you make the most of both forms of divination.” I do like both art forms. Tarot cards and astrology are tools. I use them to gain a better understanding of events in my life and my place in the world. One of my goals with these Self-centered Tarot readings is to show others how to use the tarot to navigate their own lives.
I’m glad this card showed up today. It’s bright light is helping to navigate me out of a challenging emotional period. The challenge is in accepting myself and my deep need for true fulfillment in my work here on this Earth. This card seems to say, “You’re on the right path.” Especially since the card represents the sign of Aquarius, which is ruled by Uranus the planet of sudden change. Transiting Uranus and Venus (love) are currently conjunct, and on top of my natal Jupiter (growth). A breakthrough.
The big news this week is the Full Moon in Aquarius, conjunct Uranus (on top of my natal Jupiter) forming a grand fire trine with Jupiter in Leo and Mars in Sagittarius. The real news is probably that Pluto is going to be squaring the Moon. The eclipse is going to hurt a wee bit and surprise the hell out of us. Anything for the best of the universe and all involved!
The self-centered tarot card of the day comes from The Goddess Tarot created by Kris Waldherr. Drum roll please, and the card is X Fortune, Lakshmi. The image on the card is the beautiful Lakshmi in a traditional red Indian sari on a giant bird with her boyfriend.
Today was a beautiful blue day. The sun beckoned me to explore. Unfortunately my day job kept me indoors. It was a productive day. The kids were in good spirits after school.
We are excited to be setting up a new aquarium. We spent some envisioning what we want to have and ordered some plants. Co-creating is a lot of fun!
At this point, I really do not see how this card has anything to do with what transpired during my day. Time for enlightenment from Waldherr who states, “The Hindu goddess of fortune and prosperity, Lakshmi is believed to be attracted to sparkling jewels, which are like the riches she bestows upon her favored worshippers.” Guess that guy has some “sparkling jewels.” Perhaps this card was reversed when I pulled it this morning. In which case Waldherr describes an individual as “… pessimistic, disappointed, unexpected endings or beginnings.” Nailed it.
Really I am just disappointed of the image of Lakshmi and all of her fortune and prosperity. It looks vast, but how much does a person really need? Maybe just enough to keep it interesting, like me and the fish tank.
Now that I think about it, I am kind of pessimistic about this whole Lunar eclipse thing in two days. Here comes the new beginning/end. Whatever. Moon conjunct Pluto square Mars didn’t kill me. Looks like I might be about to get stronger and have fun with fire doing it!
Today was a good day. The sun was shining, the birds were flying, and the night is settling in. The big astrological news of the day is that Uranus in Aries is trining Jupiter in Leo. This is a sweet spot for me right now. Uranus is conjunct my natal Jupiter! This could be amazing.
My self-centered tarot card for the day is the Death card from the Native American Tarot Deck by Magda and J.A. Gonzalez. The image on the card is the archetypal skeleton. The emotion the image evokes is quite different than other decks. Death has compassion for the buffalo as its skull is gently cradled. It’s quite beautiful really.
According to Magda and J.A. Gonzalez, “The essence of Death is transformation, alteration and unexpected change. Explained in another way, when the strain of the environment becomes intolerable, the threatened element readily adapts.” The card represents to me a time in my life where an old way of being has died so another can be conceived. It feels electrical. It’s Uranus conjunct my Natal Jupiter.
The numerology of the number 13 is upheaval and sudden change. Upheaval and change are happening all around us. Science is backing up my spiritual beliefs and it feels great! The end of this week felt like a death to me, but a death in a good way. A new cycle is starting and we are going to blow ourselves away!
